MARCH 2015 - LEXINGTON, KY: The American Advertising Federation honors Frontier Nursing University and Well World Productions with five advertising awards for work completed in 2014. Frontier Nursing University (FNU), a graduate nursing school that educates nurse-midwives and nurse practitioners, partnered with Well World Productions, a production and branding firm, to bring the University’s rich story to life through communications for FNU’s 75th Anniversary. FNU’s 75 year story and anniversary celebration were illustrated and communicated through a series of designs and productions led by FNU and Well World’s Debra K., host and Executive Producer of “The Journey into Wellbeing” television show, which is currently airing on PBS.
On Feb. 27, the Lexington Chapter of American Advertising Federation honored many of the works produced as a team effort between Frontier Nursing University and Well World Productions with five American Advertising Awards. The American Advertising Awards (formerly the ADDYs) is a program that recognizes creative excellence in the field of advertising.
“We quickly fell in love with Frontier’s story and, in particular, the heroic spirit of their founder, Mary Breckinridge. During production of the show, we became committed to doing our part in sharing this incredible story. These awards validate the importance of the work Mrs. Breckinridge has done for families all across the country,” says Debra K.
FNU’s charming history and it’s current day impact felt across the world were what attracted Debra K with Well World to feature the University in the pilot episode of “The Journey into Wellbeing.” Well World continued to work with Frontier on branding and communications initiatives after the launch of the show to support the University’s 75th anniversary and as a result, FNU and Well World received awards for the following entries:
- FNU’s 75th anniversary video as shown on “The Journey into Wellbeing” pilot
- FNU midwifery video vignettes, which were shot and produced by Well World
- Promotional campaign for FNU’s 75th anniversary, which included a commemorative mailing, save-the-date mailer and Gala invitation
- Logo and graphics for FNU’s 75th anniversary
- FNU’s 75th anniversary alumni and student mailing campaign
