Frontier Nursing University Ranks in Top 50 Best Online Graduate Nursing Programs by US News & World Report
HYDEN, KY – Frontier Nursing University’s (FNU) master of science in nursing (MSN) program ranks in the 2014 Top 50 Best Online Graduate Nursing Programs by US News & World Report. FNU’s graduate-level distance education programs prepare registered nurses to be advanced practice nurses and midwives who provide primary care to women and families with an emphasis on rural and underserved populations.
U.S. News evaluated several factors to rank the best online graduate nursing degree programs, including faculty credentials, graduation rates, academic and career support services and ratings by peer institutions. FNU is listed as #41 out of nearly 140 online nursing schools.
FNU not only ranks in the US News & World Report’s Top 50 Best Online Nursing Programs for 2014, but also maintains its prior ranking in the Top 50 Graduate Schools of Nursing which it has held since 2011. Two of FNU ‘s online specialty graduate nursing programs have also maintained their rankings in the top 15 programs in their respective specialty categories for nurse-midwifery and family nurse practitioner programs.
US News and World Report released the 2014 Best Online Programs rankings to help students make smart decisions about their online education. Now in their third year, the rankings cover online bachelor’s and master’s degrees in engineering, business, education, nursing and computer information technology. Nearly 1,000 distance education programs submitted the US News questionnaires to be considered for this year’s rankings.
