National Health and Wellbeing TV Series to Feature Frontier Nursing University in Pilot Episode
HYDEN, KENTUCKY – October 2012: We are pleased to announce that Journey into Wellbeing, a national health and wellbeing TV series will feature Frontier Nursing University in its pilot episode being filmed in Kentucky. This series is set to air on PBS stations nationwide in 2013, beginning with KET in Kentucky.
Journey into Wellbeing will begin filming this October and will be spending time on FNU’s campus in Hyden, Ky as they explore a few hidden gems the state has to offer. The producers were impressed with FNU’s history and mission and the fact that it has the largest midwifery program in the nation. They felt that FNU was a perfect fit for tying in midwifery and nursing care with the TV program’s goals of exploring health and wellness options.
“We are very excited to be a part of this pilot program and for the opportunity to share the mission of the University in our home state and nationwide and to spread the word about nursing and midwifery care as healthcare options,” states Brittney Edwards, FNU Marketing Coordinator.
